Lorne: Once the word spreads you beat up an innocent old man, well, the truly terrible will think twice before going toe-to-toe with our Avenging Angel. Spike: Yes. The geriatric community will be soiling their nappies when they hear you're on the case. Bravo.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

The Top 10 Marvel Comics of the 1970s.

The Seventies were weird.

And An Elf--With a Gun! should totally be a T-shirt.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

The Top 10 Marvel Comics of the 1970s.

I had every single one of those.

The Seventies were weird.

Pfft, and they didn't even include Killraven or Warlock or Deathlok the Destroyer.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

I read all of those, too, including Howard, Killraven and Deathlok! Though I loved Barry Smith's art better than Buscema's in Conan, I loved his work in the other books.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Savage Sword of Conan was officially my first comic--thanks to my older cousin. Between that and his copies of the John Carter series, he single handedly got me into comics and sci-fi when I was 11.

Audio: Dan Clowes on other cartoonists.

Clowes' opinion on Al Capp doesn't surprise me.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Clowes is a true connoisseur of bitterness. Love his stories about Capp, Hogarth, Ditko and Wood.

That Ditko story was just perfect.
