Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

So I watched the trailer for Batman — Under the Red Hood that was on the Justice League DVD. The most traumatic part about it? Seeing what Judd Winnick looks like. The dude is OLD.

Y: The Last Man

I'm just over halfway through this and loving it. My brother and I have discussed how this is a comic that would make a kickass TV series, preferably HBO/Showtime (otherwise it would have to be toned down a lot).

I mean seriously, they showed Judd talking, and I was like, "That's not the guy who was on the Real W--oh. Right..."

In other news, "Serenity: The Shepherd's Tale" will dock in stores this November.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Isn't it great???? I'd love it as an HBO series! Who would you cast?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Zachary Levi would make a great Yorick. A Chuck fan actually gave him the first trade at a signing, and he read it that night and loved it, and since then there have been a few cameos of the comic on the show.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I heard mutterings of Shia LeWhosit being cast in a movie version, but that might just have been Chicken Little talking.

Nope, he was attached, as was director D.J. Caruso, director of Disturbia and Eagle Eye. Apparently they wanted Alicia Keys for Agent 355. But that was almost two years ago, so who knows what the status of the project is these days.

Ooh. See, New Line bought the rights. Except there is no more New Line, only Warner Bros. So it could just be dead.

Alicia Keys? Oh, god, I didn't think I'd be glad about the demise of New Line, but there you go.

Ah, here's the full quote:

Concerning the casting of Dr. Mann he said, "an unknown, I don't want Lucy Liu." For Agent 355 he said, "believe it or not, I think Alicia Keys would be fantastic. Or Zoe Saldana. By then Star Trek will be out and she'll be huge. I don't think Jada Pinkett Smith would be right but a lot of people like her. The truth is that it is up to DJ Caruso and the studio.....but mostly DJ. I just make suggestions. But please post this to your site to see if you can get people campaigning."

I like this.

355 NEEDS to be Gina Torres. I'm afraid Angela B. is too old for the part, sadly - she would have been perfect once upon a time (aka her Strange Days era). Zoe Saldana isn't a bad choice, though.

I have no idea who I'd cast as Hero, though. And I can't get Jessica Walter out of my head for the mother, but that's WAY too satirical.
