Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

1200! You rock. I got no higher than 900.

The bequeathing/accretion stuff was really irritating.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

1200! You rock. I got no higher than 900.

According the the high scores chart that pops up with different high scores every once in a while it was only 1100. But in some high scores, I'm still fourth! This thing seems to be suffering from slashdotting or something else that makes it ridiculously slow to match guesses.

brillig

Political question inspired by living in the reddest of states:

Can Hillary Clinton be elected president? In Utah, the great past-time after BYU vs. U of U football is badmouthing anyone with the name of Clinton. I know there are people who have the knee-jerk reaction that Clinton=Antichrist (or at least the advance guard for the AntiChrist). They would rather vote for bin Laden, I think, rather than a Clinton. Is this point of view apparent in other parts of the country?

Can Hillary Clinton be elected president?

I don't think so. Talk about mobilizing the base.

I want Gore/Barack (Alobama).

Run, Al, Run!

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

UGH. I'm moving my iTunes and all pictures to a hard drive so as to free up much needed space on my iBook. No idea if there was a better way to do this, but just moving the iTunes app and then the folder resukted in my iTunes library in the app being empty. odd that. so now I pulled the folder of songs into the library in the app and it is copying them all over. I already had wait through the initial copy song by song of the folder from internal HD to external HD. grrr.

Our wings are not tired.

Can Hillary Clinton be elected president?

I don't think she can take Florida. I'm in a pretty blue area, but I still hear a lot of Hillary hate. The Dems know they have me (and my like) already, so they need to pick a candidate with wider support. It is still early. Lots of time for candidates to make big mistakes. The final candidate may not even be on the radar yet.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

The thing about Hillary, though, is that she is a really good campaigner. She's not good at being a principled human being, but she does know how to win elections.

(And she's been practicing on the upstate NY red counties -- picked up huge numbers of votes there in a race she could have won sitting at home twiddling her thumbs.)

I think she could surprise people. I'm not sure I want her to, but there is something to be said for having a Dem candidate whose one strength is getting elected.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

I find Hillary Clinton tiresome and carpetbaggy and rather an opportunist. However, I know a lot of people who are on the Clinton train wherever it leads.

I do think that most people love her or hate her, which, at this stage, name recognition is a good thing. However, when it comes to a November election, "I recognize you and would like to stake you to an anthill" is not the kind of recognition that people are going for.

I, personally, would be proud of a President Obama, or a President H. Clinton.

I don't think either of them will ever be president. In Hillary's case, the only person the rabid right wing hates more than Bill Clinton, is Hillary. In Obama's case, I quite simply don't believe he'd live through the campaign, as sad as that makes me. There's too many racist fuckheads in this country, and a disproportionally large cross section of said fuckheads own guns.

What I don't get is why someone as smart as Hilary seems to be thinks that she can. I keep hoping it will turn out that her and Bill are playing rope-a-dope with the Republicans (e.g. keeping them busy concentrating on Hilary while someone else takes the lead for the Dems), but I suspect this is either an ego thing on Hilary's part, or one of those cases where they are being tone-deaf politically speaking (a la gays in the military being the first initiative Bill tried, and failed, to get traction on, or the health care debacle).
