Huh. Just got a question from a possible buyer of one of my dresses. The listing is entitled "Vintage 50s Blue Cocktail Dress" and is accompanied by a color photo of the blue dress. The buyer's question? "What color is this dress?"
Um.
Anya ,'Sleeper'
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I'll give you a dollar if you email back "red".
Damn my reflexive politeness! I totally could've used that dollar.
She also wanted to know if she could get married in it in a New Year's ceremony. Pfah. As long as she gives me money for it, I don't care if she wears it on her head singing "Auld Lang Syne."
She probably wants to know that, if she buys it, will she get it by the 31st. And the answer is, of course, "Sure, you can pay extra to have it shipped overnight."

No, weirdly, it sounds like she genuinely wants advice about whether or not she should. Which, obviously, yes. And she should pay extra, for express shipping and good luck.
Well, she's having a difficult time telling what color the blue dress is, so clearly she needs all the help she can get.
Tell her you can include an eye exam with that.
Speaking of which, just got my eyes checked, and I can pick up new glasses in a little bit. They dialated my pupils. Gah, everything has halos around it.
Having my pupils dilated is the story of my life.
I got tired of driving, so I am now in a hotel in Oshkosh. Everyone else arrives at my parents' tomorrow anyway, so now I will too.
I really need new glasses and contacts. I'm still trying to sort through insurance stuff to figure out whether I should go to the eye doctor in NJ or find a new one in DC. But right now, I'm squinting at TiVo listings, which probably isn't good. (And my sister starts lecturing me about wrinkles whenever she notices me squinting.)
Oh, and I forgot to buy Chanukah candles. So my first night of Chanukah has thus far consisted of eating ravioli, cleaning my kitchen, and watching Return of the King. (Or, the end of it, anyway. I started about an hour in, and I don't remember enough of what came before to totally follow the plot anymore.)
