That was my favorite Halloween costume ever--I wore a chef's apron and hat, and I carried a cookbook with a mocked-up dustjacket which read To Serve Man. I wore it to the bookstore to work my shift, and since I couldn't carry the book around while working, it was just assumed I was a chef. Oh, well, at least the boss thought it was funny when I came into the store to work.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Well, I've done as much construction of Aunty Entity's dress as I can before taping myself into it tomorrow. I feel dissatisfied with the shoulder thingies, but I'm going to try not to obsess.
Going through my provocateuse mail backlog (huge, I've been bad), and I found some from a woman who's a huge fan of Vikas Khanna (of whom I'd never heard) and managed to convince his camp to have him take some barefoot pictures for my site. She's such a happy fangirl right now.
Timelies all!
This cold can go away any time now.
oh my. 2 people gave notice last week. ANd I just got told that another is giving notice on Monday. All different depts. but we are only an office of 18.
Crazy Vincent used a lot of staples and glue in the contruction of his "couture-like" garment.
Hee! Good to know that my last-ditch "Must finish the alterations so I can wear this to the club tonight" efforts are used by "professionals".
ita, if you decide to glue any bits of your costume, be warned: some glues (like the ones for hot glue guns) glow under black light. Which can be a cool look, but only if you have a very steady hand when you apply the glue.
I do not want to know how an office of 18 can have more than 3 departments.
Everything about this is bad.
My office has 18 people (20 if you count the part-timers), and we have 4 departments. Actually, 5 if you separate Finances from HR.

Oh dear. The craziness is catching up, I guess?
It's cold and rainy here. I hate driving at twilight in the rain. Road and sky are pretty much indistinguishable, and the contrast everywhere else is very low. It's a pretty and interesting asthetic, but it royally sucks to drive in.
You want to hear from turnover? My office, not including consultants, has roughly 30 people - sometimes a few more, sometimes a few less. We totted up the number who have left since minion and I came on board, about 3 years.
COO who just resigned is number 60.
ordering dinner in to the office.
