Don't belong. Dangerous, like you. Can't be controlled. Can't be trusted. Everyone could just go on without me and not have to worry. People could be what they wanted to be. Could be with the people they wanted. Live simple. No secrets.

Spike's Bitches 32: I think I'm sobering up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

It pisses me off that finally the boys are old enough for me to wear a really scary costume, and Sara is still too young.

Oh, I never even thought about that. Yeah, it's probably a bad idea to scare your own kids, isn't it?

I've had a Victorian corpse in mind for years now.

Ooooh. And this reminds me that I need to check the company HR site, to find out if there are any ... restrictions on costumes worn to work. I need to make sure stage blood is okay.

Because books.

Yeah, it's probably a bad idea to scare your own kids, isn't it?

But sometimes it's the bestest idea ever.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Yeah, it's probably a bad idea to scare your own kids, isn't it?

Mmm...never heard of this one.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

I love October....normally. This year, the month has started off quite nastily. Much ~ma to Nora, Kristin, SA and GC.

Yesterday was our first anniversary. Where did we spend it? At the animal hospital. Coco became violently ill and started throwing up, hyperventilating, and obsessively licking everything. Her belly was distended and painful to the touch. The vet thought it was GDV, but the x-rays showed no signs of blockage and the bloodwork ruled out pancreatitis. So we don't really know why she got sick, but it was bad enough that she needed IV fluids and anti-nausea and pain meds. The poor pooch was initially supposed to be in overnight, but when we went to visit her around 8 pm, she had improved dramatically, to the point where the doc had no problem releasing her. At 1 am, Coco decided it was time to play and proceeded to hunt down the squeeky toys and run around the house like a giant noisemaker.

She's obviously feeling better, but our checking account is a whole lot lighter. I'm just glad she's OK.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Emmett should totally be Gir.

I'm leaning that way, but it's his call. It'd have to be a homemade costume, but it wouldn't be too difficult.

Dear Powers That Be,

I would like my motivation back, please. I would also like to get notes back from my agent, and for all of the cute clothes I ordered from various places to (1) get here, (2) fit me, and (3) really be as wonderful as I hope.

You will note that I'm not asking for anything really difficult or problematic. I know you're busy with ... stuff, and that smiting the horrible people that are supposedly running my country is already on your To Do list. I know that. Which is why I'm only asking for small things. If you have the time. They would make me really happy.

Oh man, we just got this catalog and I so want this: [link]

I just wish I had the money to spend on it. Sad now!

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

I think I'm going to be a Stepford/50's housewife to scare the shit out of my husband.

Dear Powers That Be,

What Jilli said, also, if it would be too much trouble, can you make it an hour from now here at work, but still now outside of the building?

THX

I had to google/wikipedia Gir. That would be a cool costume. Or Gir in his dog costume.
