Yes, it was another place where they showed that she isn't a pawn.

Oh, I really loved Margarey Tyrell's "No. I want to be the Queen" moment.
Yes! I've loved the actress since The Tudors, but last week's scene blew me away -- so pragmatic and reasonable and smart. And this week, it was so clear that she was far more aware of the implications of her situation than her poor brother was.
That was excellent. Sharp and efficient characterization.
Loras and Margarey are somewhat of a parallel to Jamie and Cersei, except without the incest. Loras and Jamie are very pretty and good with swords, their sisters are the schemey/plotty ones.
(Schemes and plots are the same thing.)
Magaery would make a better The Queen than Cersei, but then so would Hodor.
I missed that the pyromancer was played by Roy Dotrice!!!
Loved Lancel crouching in Tyrion's sedan chair. I'm finding it hard not to feel bad for him.

I'm glad to hear he's still acting. Damn, he's almost 90 now?

Isn't this why he took a break from narrating the audiobooks?
No, he had some health problems.
It's impressive how quickly and completely Lancel went from thinking he was on top of the world to seeing he was utterly screwed.
This episode had a lot of of women wielding power in various ways, didn't it? Brienne, Cat, Margaery, Arya, Daenarys. We didn't see Cersei, did we? But we know her well enough to see her reflection in Margaery. And, of course, Melisandre.
we saw Cersei. Tyrion was trying to get Joffrey's war plan out of her.
