No, he had some health problems.

Premium Cable: The Cursing Costs Extra
[NAFDA] A thread for the discussion of all original programming on HBO, Showtime, Starz and other premium channels.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
It's impressive how quickly and completely Lancel went from thinking he was on top of the world to seeing he was utterly screwed.
This episode had a lot of of women wielding power in various ways, didn't it? Brienne, Cat, Margaery, Arya, Daenarys. We didn't see Cersei, did we? But we know her well enough to see her reflection in Margaery. And, of course, Melisandre.
we saw Cersei. Tyrion was trying to get Joffrey's war plan out of her.
Oh, right. Well, there you go.
I'm not actually sure that fits the point I was making, but, whatever. Womenfolk, lots of 'em, doing stuff.
I think that's my only disconnect -- I seem to remember before the series began and I started reading the books that some people were upset by Martin's treatment of women. But I think there are a lot of really strong women characters in the series. Am I misremembering that?
Big C: I love the addition of Victor Garber to the cast.
No, Amy, I think I can remembr some of the same complaints -- it's easy to dismiss on the surface, but then the same people tend to read the books as a glorification of knighthood and ye olde Medieval Times, which they aren't either.
I think most of those complaints came after certain events in book 4 and 5. Which I can understand, even if I don't agree.
I am sitting in my car dealership for major routine maintenance on the car and when I checked my car in, the attendant had "Game of Thrones" DVD set on his desk.
I said "that's a good series, right?"
He said: "yeah, but some of those things that occur, it is surprising to know they happened back in those times!"
!!!
So, while I am sure plot points and descriptions are drawn from European medieval times, I never did think dragons, witches, and demons coming from a woman's loins were part of our shared medieval history.
Did I miss a class in college? Or is this the Enlightenment?
That's why it's so surprising, right?
