It sounded to me like they both said "I missed you." Awwwww. And it only took, what, an hour or so of beating the crap out of each other to get there?
Boxed Set, Vol. III: "That Can't Be Good..."
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
BTW, here's the link to the scene from next week they talked about right after the promo. (It doesn't give away any more than the trailer did -- it looks like most of the trailer was cut from this section.)
I'm attempting to watch it -- but for some reason I can get the ad that plays before it but not the preview itself. Frustrating.
ETA: I got it to work -- yes, it's pretty much more of the same thing. It will be interesting to see if the "On Demand" preview is the same.
Eric Idle made me run away--I'd have preferred a loss of speech, since I honestly feared I'd ask him to impregnate me.
I just checked with Daniel. He'd be completely ok with it, if I were to have that reaction should I ever meet any of the Pythons, and the Python in question took me up on it.
Cuz ya know, Python baby.
Well, the episode gave us a better explanation for fat!Apollo, Lee and Kara being at odds and the both of them getting married so suddenly than we've had before. I just wish there'd at least been some hints prior to this.
I liked Laura and Bill looking at the stars and getting high.
The older generation was much more fun, but much less intense than the younger generation.
Also - liked the second half of the new Dr. Who - mostly. Kept up the creepy atmosphere. I think I like leaving "Satan" ambivalent. Either having it end "yes - this was THE Satan, The Doctor and Rose just beat him", or "this was another cheap alien with superpowers and pretensions" would have been a letdown. Whether superbeing or Satan, it does seem like it was defeated a bit easily at the end. Open the emergency hatch and kick its ass out the airlock? After all the other stuff it pulled, that's all it takes?
I love the idea that if Roslin and the Admiral don't shag, neither of them will ever have sex again.
I so don't get Kara's secret pain. She makes no sense to me, and that makes me impatient with her emotional arc.
Boxingwise--I am not putting my hands into someone else's sweaty gloves. That's just disgusting. And they must have some mouthpiece technology for them to be able to wear just any one. Mine's molded to the shape of my teeth.
Kara, yikes. I have no idea how I'm supposed to believe she took all those body shots and kept standing. Her torso's not that well muscled.
Felt for Tigh, poor guy. Everyone did look so happy on New Caprica. And Jammer (that's his name, right?) there in the background.
Dunno what he'd do--most of the adult men they meet are either victims or ignorant cops, which rather limits the options.
Sarcastic pop-culture spouting villain role?
I have seen those pictures! Bheerfan on LJ, I think, had them.
looks up pictures and brain explodes...

I get her secret pain regarding her time with Leoben, and the little kid she thought was her own, but I do not at all get the hostility she's directing at Apollo, or at poor Anders, for that matter. I mean, what did he do, other than love and marry her? I can get her feeling differently about men/sex/love/marriage after her captivity, and being generally wrong-in-the-head, but if you don't want him? Don't take/have him, Starbuck. That said, when she got out of bed with Anders at the beginning of the episode, after Scott and I stopped laughing, I may have announced she was my TV girlfriend.
I still have most of season 2 to watch, so I spent much of last night's episode wondering what I'm missing between Kara and Lee. I've known there was heat, and probably sex along the way, and I understand her history with his brother, but from what I've seen, she's always the one who spurns Lee (in our catching up, we've just recently watched the one where she shagged Baltar and called him Lee).
Anyhow, my point, and I do have one, is to say it's a little worrisome to see people who have been watching say the same thing.
I don't understand her marrying Anders immediately after having that night with Apollo, so I don't understand that particular pain. Was he still suppose to yell, "I, Lee Adama, love Kara Thrace," right after he got sucker punched with news of her wedding. And I'm sorry, but how far up his own ass is Bill Adama's head, that he couldn't tell Lee was left breathless with the news of the marriage.
It was a little odd for this Buffygurl to be hoping Apollo would spank Starbuck's inner moppet by way of beating the hell out of her, last night.
And poor D. She knows. I've read enough commentary on things I've missed to understand that Apollo/D is that love that 'all of a sudden', but I still feel sorry for her, because she's such an Adama fangurl.
Whatever happened to Billy?
