You two carried me through that war. Now I need you to carry me just a little bit further. If you can.

What is even happening?

Is Hec a person who'd rather wait the days it takes to do these things, or is he bigger on celebrating the birthday on the day?

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Sadly, of the three, exactly none are doable before tomorrow, and likely also none are doable before the end of the day tomorrow.

This is when you make a big certificate with crayons and glue and glitter, saying "This certificate entitles the bearer to one (1): _________ [insert nifty gift of choice here], as soon as the bestower of this certificate gets her shit together and procures the aforementioned [nifty gift of choice]."

Happy Birthday, darling JZ.

Happy Anniversary, Sparky & Mr. Sparky

Today was a better day. I've posted a full description in lj, but the short story is that today was the day of the college recruiting camp. A chance for the girls who made the camp to show off their mad softball skillz for about 150 college recruiters. Only 240 girls got accepted to the camp. We got on the wiat list and K-Bug was able to participate. She did very well. And enjoyed the experience.

Will see what tomorrow holds...

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

I'm glad today was better, Suzi. It's tough all around when days like yesterday smack you upside the head.

I'm home, finally, but I thought I was going to have to paddle the last 30 miles. There's a river in front of my house that's not supposed to be there.

I may have you beat. I still haven't procured a wedding gift for my sister, who got married in 2001 and is now in the process of a divorce. It may turn into a "Happy Divorce" present instead.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I'm not sure, but I think I just prozaced the cat into a stupor.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I'm not sure I see a downside, Lee.

Lee, if it keeps you from getting mauled... Those were some nasty bruises. I hope they don't hurt too much.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Okay. JZ's wearing her super stylish, much-coveted new birthday hat. I fed her the meal of her choice (linguini in clam sauce) and she got a birthday carrot cake with candle.

Apparently, I get bupkiss.

I know. I just wish it wasn't necessary.

I hope they don't hurt too much.

They really don't hurt at all, actually.

bupkiss.
That's got to be better than Bupkes though, right?
