embrace the de-clutter Lee. good times, especially when you get $$.
My joy of cooking does not have clafouti. good thing I have this here internet thingy.
Items I may bake tomorrow:
cupcakes, cherry clafouti, apricot cobbler, apple tart or Brown Betty or apple pie, blueberry scones.
Mmm, I will show up at msbelle's house!
it will be hot from the oven, fair warning.
dinner tonight is gonna be guac and chips. so bad, but so good.
Okay, second figure up. Go me!
Mmm, guac and chips. I informed the BF that even though we are avoiding snack food in our effort to be healthy, I was going to be following the Chip Rule of Mexican Vacation while were there. That rule states that any time there is an opportunity to have chips and salsa (which happens about 8 times a day), the chips and salsa must be eaten and enjoyed.
I like the chip rule, Robin!
Alibelle is coming over and we are going to the pool and then back to the house where we will be air conditioned by god.
I'm hot and cranky. It's a charming combo.
Mm... cupcakes!
I ordered 4 dozen, across 3 flavors: red velvet, old school (like a hostess cupcake, but with whip cream filling and ganache), brown sugar cinnamon.
CUPCAKES!
Yum, Kat. I've never tried red velvet cake. I've only read about it, or seen it referenced in films. What's the flavoring?
Timelies all!
Went to the Nats vs. Cubs game this afternoon. It was fun. We got free t-shirts(size XL. which means mine will be a nightshirt. But, hey, free!), The Nats won and Tom Hanks was in a stadium box above and in front of the section we were in, so we saw him a couple times.
Red velvet is chocolatey but also slightly tangy, due to being made with buttermilk and vinegar. It's gooooooood.
My grandmother used to make a red velvet cake every time we visited her. It was pretty darn tasty.
