How did your brain even learn human speech? I'm just so curious.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Ex-CIA operative Valerie Plame sues Vice President Cheney, his former aide, Scooter Libby, and presidential adviser Karl Rove.

Yay!

Lets hope she has good lawyers. With bazookas.

Oh brenda, I keep forgetting - I have to get that book to you. Where abouts-ish do you live? Are you near the Red Line?

eta: Ooh - sexy, evil number....

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Oh- the no refunds thing is really complicated. And I am actually OK with academic-ese. Just in this particular department we have badly done academic-ese (like withdrawals are subject to tuition???). I think it might be because the nurses I work for aren't particularly academic, and a lot of the mistakes they make were trained out of me in a liberal arts college environment, while in a more clinical setting their writing wasn't the focus.

Man, I wish the process servers had taken pictures when they handed out those summons.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

There seems to be a site for the Wilsons' legal fund. But looking at it, I don't see any way to determine its veracity.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Huh. Google seems to have changed its algorithm or something. When I googlebate now, it turns up my writing first instead of random instances of my name in reviews. So it places Things David Wrote in the top slots.

Cool! I was wondering why I was suddently getting email from people I'd been out of contact with. Now they're getting directed immediately to Kim's websites and she's been forwarding them to me.

Going over to CNN.com to read about the Plame story, I noticed Red Buttons had died. I honestly thought he'd died years ago. RIP, Poseidon survivor.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Goodbye, Hoagy.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Another panicked voicemail in to my neighbor's daughter. I've told her I'm not watching any more news but would appreciate a call to let me know Zilla's ok.

This has to stop.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I'm pretty near the red line Tom. Do you like Indian food? Want to meet at the place at the Belmont station for dinner some night?

Also, it's kind of a problem that employees can't be expected to understand "no refunds" in this context.

Depending on what the tuition program Sophia mentioned really is, I can't say I'd have made the leap from "dropping my free class" to "owing the Uni lots of money" from reading no refunds.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh yeah, I went and re-read, and it does sound suckier than I was thinking. In my head, tuition was just deducted from your pay or whatever.
