This just in, scraping paint is hard. Am drippy sweaty. yuck.
So I have one wall in this entry that has cracked paint (as a result of water damage) where the 70 years of paint have seperated from the plaster wall. The other three walls are not cracking. do I just paint over them? Or do I try to scrape them too? And if so, how?
msbelle, is that the wall near the kitchen?
Regardless, and even though I have no answer for any of your questions, I'm sorry about that mess, and hope it gets fixed soon.
yes, that same area. I am finally getting work done on it. I want to scrape as much as I can before I call for an estimate for the plaster work and painting.
Oy, Lee!
I slept in until 9:30, which is way too late for even me. Considering that the cats woke me several times demanding food,
and I turned over and went back to sleep.
It's amazing that I wasn't bit, considering their distress.
I took a Flexeril last night, which may explain a lot....
I'm going back to bed very very soon, as soon as I can do that needle thing.
yay
I slept til 8:30, which was like a gift from heaven.
Timelies all!
The cat was being particularly needy this morning, meowing and licking books on my night table. Silly critter.
Not sure what we're doing today, though we'll probably end up at the Capitol for fireworks.
Happy 4th, everyone! We're off to the annual invitation-only sale at the Guitar Center. It's always fun to see bleary musician-types at 8:30 in the morning mooning over equipment. Then home to clean and write and suchlike. We may go to a friend's pool party or just veg out here before we cook up some brats and go down the street to watch fireworks. Should be a nice relaxing day.
I hope everyone celebrates in the way which gives them the most pleasure.
