Happy 4th, everyone! We're off to the annual invitation-only sale at the Guitar Center. It's always fun to see bleary musician-types at 8:30 in the morning mooning over equipment. Then home to clean and write and suchlike. We may go to a friend's pool party or just veg out here before we cook up some brats and go down the street to watch fireworks. Should be a nice relaxing day.
I hope everyone celebrates in the way which gives them the most pleasure.

I slept until 9, and now we have maids in to do the cleaning. I shall be wandering about the apartment with my laptop until they are finished. Hello, first world!

I have no maids, but because smonster and amyth left at 9AM, and I got up, and then....well, normally I'd be all about sleeping in, but I was UP. So I'm doing laundry, and made breakfast, and now I'm settling in to watch "Hustle and Flow"...
My apartment is now as clean as it's been since before I got it painted, and probably never will be again for quite some time.

The place really needed a thorough going-over what with the various moving in and out of people, and wow, am I willing to pay someone to do it for me.

OMG you guys, I am so cracked out right now. I got home from flying in on the red-eye, thought I was fine, but then had to lie down for a couple of hours, but I'm still completely exhausted, and I think I'm hungry, but I can't figure out what I feel like eating.
OMG! food. I haven't eaten yet today.
I swear sometimes I wonder about my head.
Mm, food. I need to hit the grocery store so I can make guacamole.
