Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Or I'm shopping in the wrong places. And I include Target in this. They shouldn't cost me more than $10. I'm just wanting a pair of crappy shower shoes, something to keep my feet off the grime for a quick few minutes.

I have a pair like that that are super thin but have held up amazingly well -- basically they are my house shoes but I have worn them out and about -- that cost like $3 at H&M a couple of years ago. Have you checked H&M and Old Navy?

What is even happening?

ita, if they're just for the shower, go to a Walgreen's (or whatever big, chain drug store you have out there) and look in their seasonal aisle. They probably have the really cheap ones.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

FLIPFLOPS ARE TOO FUCKING EXPENSIVE.

Old Navy. They used to be $2.50 a pair (and, I mean, made of $0.03 of foam rubber, you get what you pay for) and now I think they're $3. I have two pair, and they haven't spontaneously combusted on my feet yet!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

H&M we don't have. Old Navy I'm sure we do.

Art Crawl!!!

Hustle was fun. I wonder if these thugs that they duped will come back to haunt them?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Yum -- I just had a cinnamon donut from the cafeteria that was both fresh and delicious. Not too much cinnamon or sugar on it, so a minimum of donut dust down my front, just the right size to feel indulged yet not overindulged.

Plus, I'm back at my old cube.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I was wondering that too, Sumi. Not my favorite ep, by far, but it was still fun.

t Skipping lots

I just wanted to thank you guys for the good thoughts on Monday. My friend is home now, still not healthy but much better. My brother still didn't come home, but this isn't any different than most of the days in the past three years anyway, so we're trying to take this as calmly as possible.

Thanks for letting me vent.
