Funny thing: her grandparents lived in that apartment before they did. They thought I was a journalist or something. Much more exciting than reality! Probably the books and me always reading the paper outside. It's funny to discover what people who only see the surface trappings infer.
I just cannot explain how much it is NOT like a catholic dating a protestant in this day and age.Right, it so isn't. The terms are often the same, but they take on quite different meanings in the LDS Church.
They're so young, their age is likely to contribute as much to a break up as anything else.
Yeah. The only thing is that they're both part of a group of 5 kids who are really pretty tight (although 2 of them just broke up, making things tense), across different schools, which makes things complicated.

I can't bitch - pretty much every day is casual day here, and on Fridays I can wear jeans and sneakers. It's one of the advantages of this industry, although I do occasionally dust off a suit for a project interview.
And Jesse, I think I'm okay--what I wore today is totally within the standard deviation for me, although I don't usually wear the jacket I wore today, which is what moved it from average to a little dressy. Dunno what I'll do tomorrow, though.
Getting a new job may require changes to my wardrobe. Oh, and in other job news, a client asked me today if I would come work there a few days a week. Took a few minutes to figure out she meant through our contract, and not actually hiring me.

I think the best idea I've heard is for him to (gently) point out to her when it feels like he's being proselytized - just let her know when it feels that way and ask her to try not to do it. And maybe they can just agree to leave some subjects off the table. At their ages, I think anything past relieving the tension is borrowing trouble. It'll last or it won't, and if looks like an in-to-adulthood kind of thing, there's time enough to grapple with the hard stuff.

This is always the problem I've had when job searching from a casual office -- even a business-casual one. When I got on the hunt, I took to dressing up more randomly, when I was in the office all day, just to get people used to it.
My poor minion keeps running up against this. My boss knows (and supports) him looking, so she knows when he has an interview anyway. But there are a couple of other VPBs (Very Powerful Busybodies) in my office that make things uncomfortable.
It's way easier in winter, when a dark suit jacket can hide inside a dark coat.
