I watched Magnolia when I had a very, very bad day. Because it was long and I wanted to think about something else for a few hours.
I only remember bits and pieces about it now, but I think I might have been better off listening to NIN and The Cure on repeat for a few hours.

This can often be better than Prozac... Well, for those of us coming of age in the late eighties and early nineties, at least.
Oh, sure; that's why I have them. But I wasn't really capable of catharsis just then.
Somebody posted this on WHEDONesque:
If they hold it until spring (as opposed to January), Fox can promote the show heavily throughout early season NASCAR coverage.
That's got to be so smooth a connection even Fox can't miss it, right?
Am I being naive or is it possible we could get a second season solely because Fox will have canceled all their other new fall shows by then and it would look bad if nothing got a second season?
Not that I'm over-analyzing anything or looking too far ahead.
Jackal, I can pretty much say they'd never do that. Too much of a gamble. Of course, I'd be thrilled if they did.
I was hoping you'd share my naivety, making it seem a marginally more realistic theory.
Isn't that the show they've been pimping for weeks now in commercials? Is that the fastest cancellation ever?
