Spike's Bitches 30: Going on Thirteen

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

It went fine. All on good terms.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

We've done counseling and such, so issues have been discussed. But yeah, I'm not always very good at communicating my frustrations. OTOH, when I do it often makes matters much, much worse than just letting things blow over. I always feel guilty when I post something here when I'm frustrated, but it's the only place I've got. I will try to use more discretion though.

Oh, Gud. I just ache for you.

Maybe a therapist just for you would be a good thing. As your invisible friend I, naturally, think she's being utterly unreasonable, etc. And maybe she is. And maybe she isn't. But if you work with someone actually trained in such things that could be a valid perspective. And that could be someone who could help you find ways to assert yourself. And that could be a place for YOU to be frustrated and angry and yet not have to feel guilty. You take such good care of all the people around you, maybe its your turn to be cared for.

Gud, personally I just wanted you to know I still don't think you did anything wrong by letting your daughter see you be sad.(I'm sorry you're sad, though, and I hope something changes about that soonest.) But if fate needs a nudge, Hec does teach young, active, can't-be-held-fully-responsible people to swing baseball bats. IJS.

What?

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

I like the way that erika's mind works. But we knew that already.

Always Anti-fascist!

Thanks, Fay. A vague disclaimer is nobody's friend, after all.

I'm getting the pig!

Yay, Nora!

Tensions are high in the office lately so this is sure to be the high point of my week -

Manager: "NICOLE! Come here!"

Me: "You bellowed?"

Manager: "Either I'm an idiot or your calculations are completely wrong on this report. How are you coming up with these numbers?" ::after showing her how I came up with the numbers:: "Oh. Ok. That makes sense."

Co-worker walking by: "I think that means Nicole's (calculations are) right and you're an idiot."

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

So I went and did a brave thing yesterday. I tried on bathing suits. I was not overcome with revulsion on how the actual suits looked--a couple of them were actually quite flattering, but jeez, the legs. Due to skating they are a lot more toned than thay used to be, but they are still white and puffy and cellulite-y. Nothin' I can do about it, I guess.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Hee, Nicole.

I think I will kill everyone today.
