Sooner or later, you're gonna want it. And the second — the second — that happens, you know I'll be there. I'll slip in, have myself a real good day.

Spike's Bitches 30: Going on Thirteen

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

What is even happening?

I know beth, but they've only had one day of smoochies. They might not even want it to be a thing.

I don't know. I'd just get scared off early if a guy was talking about whether or not it was a thing, or dating, or kissy friends, after one day of smoochies.

Apropos of nothing, I have to tell you (still beth) I frigging love your hair in the F2F photos. There were some I saw this morning (maybe Scola's prom shots) and I just wanted to touch it. So. Darn. Beautiful.

Because books.

I think if I were the girl in question, though, and I like some guy enough to want to kiss him lots, I'd probably want to know sooner rather than later that that's *all* he wanted to do.

Still, it's early-ish for the discussion. Wait and see if she even wants more kissage first, I guess.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

points to self

Train wreck.

Hence my angst.

Wait and see if she even wants more kissage first, I guess.

That was already implied by the hint that we would have more room when I was forced to visit her again to return her books.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

TodaY I am forceing my self to apply for a job that I probbabaly will not take , unless they want a full time person, not a part time person. Applying for a civil serce job in Ca is a pain in the butt. I have to answer 4 supplemental questions.

1) talk about you philosphy of public servic

a: be nice, don't have any strong ideas on a subject, know that most people don't know what they want, and never let the shock you

2) Tell me about you use of re materials

a: read my resume asshole

3: talk ablut readers advisory

a: ok , my favorite subject - so that one was fun

4:) talk about your public library experienc

a: again, learn to read.

This is my feeling as well, really. That we'll have a good time until we decide to stop.

I think if you start to be in danger of leading her on, or there starts to be a danger of her misinterpreting things, you will know, and you'll both probably feel the impetus to talk. That's when you talk. Go out for pizza or something, you know. Or chicken.

The big "NO"s in my book are just the stoppage of calls, etc. If it comes a point where you don't want to see her any more, then you have to say so gently, face to face, and right away. But the beginning of a romance is so FABULOUS, I hate to see it get mucked up with a million words the substance of which can't end up being much more than, "I don't know what this is yet, or what I want, or what you want."

Smoochies. More smoochies. And pizza. Or chicken.

Librarian Warlord

beth, one of the librarians here famously said the philosophy of public services in a library is, basically, to "get rid of the patron, some sooner than others."

We already had pizza with chicken on it.

P-C, is it all you want to do, or is it more like, you know you want to do that much, but you don't know about anything else?

I read your first explanation more as "I don't know what this is or what I want it to be," than as "I don't want this to be more."

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

We already had pizza with chicken on it.

In some cultures, you're already betrothed. Call your parents.

Honestly, though, I'm with the "talk? now?" crowd. Don't promise anything you can't give, but enjoy what you can give and receive. You might even become open to things that seem unwanted now. Even if I was on the same page as the guy, if he started a talk after one night of kisses, I'd think he was neurotic, and be put off.
