Spike's Bitches 30: Going on Thirteen

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I'm getting the pig!

If this is a goal for the day, may I suggest you check your e-mail?

I did get it and I'm slowly responding, Suzi. Didn't want to miss any key points.

So... If I get married, all of my problems will go away? I thought the rule was more 'you're not losing your problems, you're just gaining new problems - but also gaining someone to help you deal with them'. Huh.

it's like a lightbulb just came on over your head!

I KNOW! It's just CRAZINESS!

Ok...and that totally makes me laugh, 'cause I'm putting together a PowerPoint presentation for my parents...completely laying out the different possible living scenarios I'm faced with. The template I chose to use has lightbulbs on it: [link]

Always Anti-fascist!

Bug, my dad thinks that too...it's much less benign because he also thinks I threw away my one shot...at life, basically, by not marrying my first love at twenty and going to DC. I find it telling that if I got the same offer today the only thing that would turn me on about it would be Pelecanos Country. But I've lost the conviction that G. was too good for me. Don't get me wrong...sweet guy, but you don't want your dad taking your boyfriend's side at a time like that. To my dad, nobody should be too good for me, damn it. It's in the Dad handbook.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Aw, thanks y'all! I should cut and paste Bitches 30 for when I need an ego boost.

all of my students are off filming scenes from the short screenplay they wrote.

That sounds really nifty. Does your school have the video equiptment for this or did you have to find some?

I'm so tired of bruises on my forearms and poke holes.

Ugh--I'm sorry. That would suck. Is getting a port an option?

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I fall under the category of Far Paler Than I Look, as the freckles and occasional ruddiness throw people (see also, makeup counter girls) off.

They ALWAYS start about three shades darker than they should, then get confused when, well, it looks like they've mudded me up. Then they go to the lightest shade, and 9 times out of 10, it is still too dark.

Alima, bless it, runs pale in cool and neutral (warm, OTOH, is very yellow and darker than cool or neutral). This is typical of much of your standard non-BE mineral makeup. I've met about two people in my life who were not albinos who could wear their cool level 0 shade. (Well, three if you count Pete, but he won't let us put the C0 on him to test that theory, the wanker.)

Now tagless for your comfort.

What's the difference between Alima and Bare Minerals? I think I want to try a mineral foundation, but only Alima offers the neat sample size. I could try BM and just send it back if I don't like it, I suppose.

Plei, have you tried both?
