the American version of Insomnia better than the Norwegian original

I was with the American version right up until the end, when it suddenly went all Hollywood-redemptiony for no good reason except that it was an American remake of a foregin film. Feh.

I do prefer The Birdcage to La Cage aux Folles, though.
