There are shoes I need (okay, just the one pair, maybe two) and there are shoes that call to me. I have to be strong and place the spectator pumps in the latter category and plug my ears. I need a pair of pretty yet comfortable highish heeled sandals I can wear with jeans and dresses. That'll keep me busy at Zappo's for a long time.

I've never even thought about them before (pumps? I never even think about those). Now I'm enraptured. Instead I obsess about how close these are to what I want--lose the crimping and put some elastic in the strap around the ankle and I'm golden. Curses. Back to the search engine.
