The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I just ran out of work to do. Can I go home, before anyone can give me more?

Yes.

I think there's a romantic comedy happening outside my window. There's a guy and a girl who both walk their dogs out there, and their dogs started gamboling together and now the owners are having a long chat.

It'd be wrong to scream, "Just kiss already," right? They'd make a cute couple.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Awww, it's like 101 Dalmatians!

If they end up in a pond together, they are Doomed.

Their dogs match pretty well, too. One looks like a lab and the other looks more like a shepherd mix of some kind. And from what I can overhear, the girl's dog is female and the guy's dog is male.

Aw, they've gone their separate ways now. I've seen them both, but never at the same time. We have had the obligatory bit where a leash got tangled around the guy's legs, though.

Now I'll have to remember to watch tomorrow and see if they just happen to be out at the same time again.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

You should write a book about that, Strega.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Dude, it's totally Jennifer Crusie.

Don't be silly, ita; in Jennifer Crusie books, only one of the pair has pets.

Aha! That's how she avoids going all Opal Mehta!
