The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Don't be silly, ita; in Jennifer Crusie books, only one of the pair has pets.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Aha! That's how she avoids going all Opal Mehta!

You should write a book about that, Strega.

I think if I wrote it, it would rapidly turn into a book about the girl who is creepily watching them from her window and reporting on them to her friends, who live inside a magic box. Might get kind of dark.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Is it just me or is anyone else having trouble getting to LJ?

In my neighborhood...well, erika would like it. Posturing psuedo thugs as if dealing, custody battles played out complete with cops, and that moronic couple who had a quicky over behind the trees.

Um, my neighborhood isn't that bad. Really. Iffy, maybe. During the daytime, it is more likely little kids shrieking.

Back home with the cat and a little hope. Feeding him one pill kind of was a disaster. Too crumbly. Ended up just sort of wiping off the saliva-melted pill on his gums. Oops. Butter next time.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Not just you, Vonnie. It seems to be down.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

I have a new boyfriend at the Coffee Bean!

My thoughts immediately go to either: (a) flirtatious toddler who immediately picked up on your world's-best-auntie vibe; (b) cute floppy-eared dog that tried to abandon its owner and follow you home, and lay on the sidewalk looking tragic and tortured as the owner attempted to drag it away in the opposite direction; or (c) skeevy overintrusive barista/too-old customer/random depressing vagrant who glommed onto you and declared an inappropriate amount of love. Because, given the nature of the public coffeehouse, these seem the most likely suspects.

But I'm secretly hoping it's (d) the near-mythical genuinely cute, snarky guy who appreciates purple hair and said exactly the right thing and utterly charmed you and is actually worthy of you.

Did he give you free coffee?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

LJ had been back for me, but now seems to be down again.

The more I eat stuff from Trader Joe's, the less likely I think it is that I'll ever actually cook a meal ever again.
