I keep eggs in the fridge all the time, and toss and replace without impunity. In fact, my fridge looks a lot better when I periodically sweep and replace. I make a note of what's not getting used, and try and fix that next shopping trip, but I don't angst about it.
First world, I know.
I've never made a chilled cheesecake.
Cupcakes are never a wrong answer.
I always have eggs around, but never milk, since E uses soy on his cereal, and I never have any use for it at all.
I just noticed my nails are getting too long for typing. I should do something about that today.
I've never made a chilled cheesecake.
Mine's in the cookbook somwhere. Easiest heart attack recipe ever.
Also, I couldnt live without milk. I drink about a litre a day. And lets just not mention the cheese.
Cupcakes are never a wrong answer.
Are cupcakes a specific thing, like fairy cakes, or do they cover a multitude?
Cupcakes!!
2 out of three is good, right? Though I think the milk is a little iffy.
I have flour though!
You have butter? You can make biscuits! Assuming the milk isn't actually bad. Ooh, maybe I'll make cheese biscuits.
The basic recipe for cheesecake that has been on the back of the name brand graham cracker box forever is still one of the best cheescake recipes around. Brain fart as to actual brand name; but you know the one I mean.
You can make biscuits!
I could, but now I want IHOP, and I have outside pants on. I think IHOP, some cleaning, making up a grocery list (I'm going to make black bean soup this week), nap, and then grocery store sounds like a very good plan for the day.
Cheese, we've got plenty of. Just no milk.
Cupcakes are individual frosted cakes baked in muffin tins. (I suppose the frosting is technically optional, but it lets you differentiate between a cupcake and a merely cakey muffin.)
I don't know what a fairy cake is -- from the name, I'm guessing it's similar to angel food cake, or chiffon?
[eta: And Wikipedia says that fairy cakes and cupcakes are the same thing!. So there we are.]
Goodness, Perkins, I didn't realize you already had outside pants on! Then it would be a shame to waste them. Yay IHOP.
Cheese, we've got plenty of. Just no milk.
Can you not bake with soymilk?
Hmm. Cakey muffins. Are cupcakes. I'm not sure how to rigourously define muffin, but I know when when I eat one. It's probably a sugar/fibre thing.
Don't usually have milk in the house, not regular, from the cow. Right now, I have buttermilk in the freezer, waiting for the next pancake outing, soy milk, rice milk, and heavy whipping cream (for tea and coffee). I do often use the rice milk in place of regular milk when baking.
