Hmm. Cakey muffins. Are cupcakes. I'm not sure how to rigourously define muffin, but I know when when I eat one. It's probably a sugar/fibre thing.
Don't usually have milk in the house, not regular, from the cow. Right now, I have buttermilk in the freezer, waiting for the next pancake outing, soy milk, rice milk, and heavy whipping cream (for tea and coffee). I do often use the rice milk in place of regular milk when baking.
[eta: And Wikipedia says that fairy cakes and cupcakes are the same thing!. So there we are.]
And you learn something new every day...
Aha! I only need sour cream and perhaps bittersweet chocolate for the cupcakes themselves. Semisweet chocolate and heavy cream for the ganache.
I haven't baked in yonks. Probably since the concussion. It's weird what things become too much effort.
OK, I don't actually have milk, but I have half-and-half, which I water down for cooking. It works out.
And of course, right this minute I don't even have that, but it's only because I emptied the carton into my coffee, and I'll go to the grocery store later.
OMG, shutup! I am totally dying for cupcakes now.
Also, I couldnt live without milk. I drink about a litre a day. And lets just not mention the cheese.
Jars is me, though I drink slightly less milk these days.
I am still exhausted from cleaning yesterday. I am such a wimp.
Stephen Colbert at the WH Correspondents' Dinner - video and transcript (partials). Apparently C-Span will be rerunning the whole thing, but the link is broken.
I almost never have milk in the house, since I usually don't make coffee at home anymore. I should have some for my cereal, but I always forget. Eggs I do sometimes, just not right now.
I IHOPED. It was good.
Heh. Jessica, I was just going to post that. I downloaded the .mov and am partially through watching it. He kicked ass.
The Correspondents Dinner is on CSPAN right now. Don't know where they are in it, but Bush is about to start talking.
