Cheese, we've got plenty of. Just no milk.

Cupcakes are individual frosted cakes baked in muffin tins. (I suppose the frosting is technically optional, but it lets you differentiate between a cupcake and a merely cakey muffin.)

I don't know what a fairy cake is -- from the name, I'm guessing it's similar to angel food cake, or chiffon?

[eta: And Wikipedia says that fairy cakes and cupcakes are the same thing!. So there we are.]

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Goodness, Perkins, I didn't realize you already had outside pants on! Then it would be a shame to waste them. Yay IHOP.

Can you not bake with soymilk?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Hmm. Cakey muffins. Are cupcakes. I'm not sure how to rigourously define muffin, but I know when when I eat one. It's probably a sugar/fibre thing.

Don't usually have milk in the house, not regular, from the cow. Right now, I have buttermilk in the freezer, waiting for the next pancake outing, soy milk, rice milk, and heavy whipping cream (for tea and coffee). I do often use the rice milk in place of regular milk when baking.

Aha! I only need sour cream and perhaps bittersweet chocolate for the cupcakes themselves. Semisweet chocolate and heavy cream for the ganache.

I haven't baked in yonks. Probably since the concussion. It's weird what things become too much effort.

OK, I don't actually have milk, but I have half-and-half, which I water down for cooking. It works out.

And of course, right this minute I don't even have that, but it's only because I emptied the carton into my coffee, and I'll go to the grocery store later.

hip deep in pie

OMG, shutup! I am totally dying for cupcakes now.

Also, I couldnt live without milk. I drink about a litre a day. And lets just not mention the cheese.

Jars is me, though I drink slightly less milk these days.

I am still exhausted from cleaning yesterday. I am such a wimp.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I almost never have milk in the house, since I usually don't make coffee at home anymore. I should have some for my cereal, but I always forget. Eggs I do sometimes, just not right now.

I IHOPED. It was good.
