(Check out the above link - it'll just take a sec.)

Cheeky monkey.

whether I get the job or not at least it wasn't a miserable experience

That's my goal to take away from every interview. There have only been a couple positions for which my resume was perfect. And even then, someone could be more perfect. So I figure it's about giving a decent interview, and feeling solid about that.

Oh wait, they did:

Marriage (a) fosters and facilitates the birth of children in culturally approved ways; (b) fosters the bonding between one man and one woman in order to provide the most beneficial setting for raising and nurturing their; (c) fosters bonding between a man and his children so that the man is most likely to become an active participant in family life; (d) fosters the transformation of adolescents into sexually responsible adults; (e) is an effective institution to protect women by tying men to a monogamous relationship; and (f) has been shown to promote monogamy and faithfulness in the married couple (reducing the transmission of sexually transmitted diseases) far better than same-sex union.

("raising and nurturing their" semicolon, apparently.)

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

This is a quote from one of the papers they link to:

Bell and Weinberg, in their classic study of male and female homosexuality, found that 43 percent of white male homosexuals had sex with 500 or more partners, with 28 percent having one thousand or more sex partners.

I'd just like to say how very impressed I am. Where do you find the time?

Yeah. Thing is, job interviews always feel like improv -- you don't want to overrehearse, because anything could happen. But that means it's possible to fall flat like improv, too. (Well, me and improv.)

I did say "That's a good question" slightly more than strictly necessary, but I made a joke out of it, so I think it was okay.

What is even happening?

“It’s, um, a bit sparse.”
At least it's realistic

(not fair, as I've been feeling craptacular and the husband has been very lovely, I just couldn't resist)

protect women by tying men to a monogamous relationship

Praise be! Protection awaits me!

Where do you find the time?

Ask Wilt Chamberlain.

Frankly--those numbers speak to amazing time management, and I'd love to learn the basic principles.

Weird. I hit post, and the very next screen (I swear, a second later) showed that Cindy had posted 6 seconds later.

I've lost 6 seconds! Did the aliens abduct me?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

(f) has been shown to promote monogamy and faithfulness in the married couple (reducing the transmission of sexually transmitted diseases) far better than same-sex union.

Huh? I've heard that lesbian relationships tend to last longer than hetero ones. Also, lesbians get less STDs.

(c) fosters bonding between a man and his children so that the man is most likely to become an active participant in family life;

Well then, allowing gay men to marry must be extra-good....

(a) fosters and facilitates the birth of children in culturally approved ways;

Now that's just tautological, as they're trying to get the culture to disapprove of gay parenting....

For gay sex, to make up their numbers, probably.

Msbelle, you working from home today too, or just home?
