First day of vacation! Beautiful day, I've been wandering around shopping and lunching.

Natter .44 Magnum: Do You Feel Chatty, Punk?
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Just got a bit of my portfolio done. I'm finding the whole thing crazy-making and almost painful, but it's getting done.
Cereal: If someone is from a Francophone country, do we say they have a French accent, or would one always use the particular country of origin? Except there are many languages spoken there, and... yeah, I guess French accent. Thanks, everybody!
In summary: I want edamame.
All of those are excellent Good Things. (except maybe for Emily's, but it will be a Good Thing, once it's done, right?)
I think people should tell us something good about their day.
As of this morning, I've lost 25.9 lbs.
I successfully made a dress over the weekend AND didn't sew any of the pieces together wrong, backwards, or upside down.
Good things:
The Orb is back.
I work tonight, and many people have promised to wander in. Also, cute boys.
Emily - keep at it, it will be done soon. ANd then, DONE!!
Jilli - congrats, that is awesome - on both counts.
Good things:
I just bought my plane ticket to the F2F.
Totally gorgeous day here.
I bought new lipstick at lunch (sort of a plum color, but not dark).
Good things:
I have the iPod today.
My new Converse match this sweater perfectly.
It's starting to get sunny outside.
but it will be a Good Thing, once it's done, right?
It'll mostly be good that it's done, but yeah. I felt the same way about my undergraduate thesis and master's project. HATE. But I'm looking forward to the relief. The good thing there was that I'd gotten another chunk done, was the thing.
You know what I hate? A lack of page length requirements. I know you should just write what needs to be written, but let's be honest. If the teacher's thinking "paragraph" and you write four pages, you've essentially done a different assignment. I'm not trying to weasel out of real work by asking how many pages are expected, I'm trying to get a feel for the actual assignment.
Wankers.
