Shit's all sorts of different now.

Good things:

I have the iPod today.

My new Converse match this sweater perfectly.

It's starting to get sunny outside.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

but it will be a Good Thing, once it's done, right?

It'll mostly be good that it's done, but yeah. I felt the same way about my undergraduate thesis and master's project. HATE. But I'm looking forward to the relief. The good thing there was that I'd gotten another chunk done, was the thing.

You know what I hate? A lack of page length requirements. I know you should just write what needs to be written, but let's be honest. If the teacher's thinking "paragraph" and you write four pages, you've essentially done a different assignment. I'm not trying to weasel out of real work by asking how many pages are expected, I'm trying to get a feel for the actual assignment.

Wankers.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Good news from today--even though I had to let one potential apartment go (they wanted too much for the deposit), I think I found a better place MUCH closer to work (as in a 15-minute commute vs. one hour!) with a MUCH lower deposit required. I'm looking at it tomorrow after work, and if it's as good as I hope, I'll be filling out the paperwork immediately and moving on May 1.

Only worry is that I was just googling the address and came across an "apartments rated" site that had 13 entries for the complex. Nine good, four really bad--apparently, new managers came in back in 2002 or so and have been letting "anybody" in, which helps me with my bad credit rating, but makes me worry about some of my potential neighbors. Oh, well, if it doesn't work out, I can always move next year. With gas the price it is now, being only a few miles away from the office is a huge plus!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

msbelle is a smartass.

Good things about today:

  • It amuses me to think that I'm a waist cincher, stripey tights and a cunning hat away from following Jilli Fashion
  • I've decided the chick the cube over is having an affair, that it's not her husband she coos to so pathetically
  • I should be able to leave work in time to make the one Level 5 class at krav. And my thigh is good enough that I should be able to do most things
  • There's a brownie waiting for me once I'm done this pork chop

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Nothing good has happened to me today. I'm still holding out hope, though.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Hope is good.
