Perkins, I have a spare stick blender I could send you. I got 2 for Xmas. It's Braun and basic and new-in-box. Would be happy to.

That would rock. flea! I would be happy to pay for postage and all that. I would email you, but I'm not sure I know part of the info I would need to do so. Can you send me an email at my profile address, so I can send you one back?

Our wings are not tired

Just had a sudden attack of jealousy. With the California, and the fun, and the seeing Joe and Sean... sniff!

Yes, you are clearly on the wrong coast. You would have had a blast at Laser Tag. Also, I introduced another friend of mine to the Michigan group. He too is from Ann Arbor. Turns out he even knew a bunch of the same people from back home.

It's currently ugly and overcast here in LA, but it's supposed to be in high 70's in Vegas. We're hitting the road at about 2 PM.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Happy Birthday Drew!

Hey Tom Scola, how's your weekend going?

Pretty good. I just spent the day at Central Park Zoo with my niece and nephew. I'm uploading pictures now.

And, oh yeah, I also bought a crapload of furniture from Crate and Barrel.

yay for a good day, msbelle! eta: and Tom!

I do believe I may just shower and put on outside pants and venture outside for lunch and grocery shopping.

Wish me luck.

etamore: What furniture did you get, Tom?

Pretty much the same stuff I pointed out last time. This bedroom set and this sectional.

Central Park Zoo.

Here's a question. When I'm filling out a job application, and it asks if it may contact an employer I worked for eight years ago, what do I say? I mean, I guess they can, but I don't know that that employer would really remember me. Are they really likely to try to call the guy who used to be manager of the Boston office but is now Senior VP in charge of the northeast to ask him about an editor who worked for him for two years and left in 1998?

Also, they're asking about my salary. Damned if I can remember. Do I really have to put something? How is it relevant? My most recent job, sure, although it's in a totally different field. But 8 years ago, when I was an editor? 10, when I was a temp?
