On my seventh birthday, I wanted a toy fire truck, and I didn't get it, and you were real nice about it, and then the house next door burnt down, and then real firetrucks came, and for years I thought you set the fire for me. And if you did, you can tell me!

Spike's Bitches 29: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

No, really! I mean, I'm writing this in a thread called "Spike's Bitches." I have no room to mock fannish enthusiasm.
This is one of those comforting things when someone decides to mock my race sluttiness.

I still feel shame for PT's mad English slaying skillz though. Cause that is just wrong.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Yeah, but I bet more chicks dig him than dig, say, Michael Chabon. (Maybe not among the Buffistas, b/c we appreciate the mad English skillz [yo], but we aren't a representative sample of your average human.)

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

This is one of those comforting things when someone decides to mock my race sluttiness.

This was a surprising and bizarre sentence for a couple moments. Then I settled on the right interpretation of "race" and all was well.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

So, I should probably take back my motivation from Nora and do some math. But, see, I just have the feeling that she is using it so well. I hate to take it away.

Heh, about 20 minutes ago or so, I was looking at a Swedish case study and thinking, damn, I don't want to do this anymore.

Plugging away though. The trouble is, my brain gets overwhelmed and I need to take breaks, and then I get all spazzy because I don't have much more time to get this done now and that is definitely not positive and productive thinking. I keep wishing I'd gotten to this point in the process at least a week or 2 ago. Again, not helping, Nora's brain!

I dig him madly but I might have to gag him should I ever meet him.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

The in-laws were in town for the weekend, so we spent the last few days walking the city, enjoying the weather. Today we passed by this sign in our neighborhood, which cracked me up.

It is FRELLING GORGEOUS out. I insist that the weather remain exactly like this for the next three months.

It's Sunday. It took me a moment to figure out the other interpretation. In my defense? It's Race Day!

Always Anti-fascist!

Michael Chabon is pretty hot, though. Well, his photo is. I've never had the pleasure of actual Chabon. Although I suspect if I ever do, he'll think I'm Nell, writing mysteries in the middle of the forest, cause I'd be so inarticulate.
