[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Hi Nora! Glad England went well, sorry you were eating in the Land that Flavour Forgot.

Unless she comes up here and says, "OMG OH NOES That tape was FULL!11!! of notes when I put it in the envelope for you, what did you do to it?" Which she is also prone to do.

I'm contemplating learning Mandarin, and I don't know how I'll go with a tonal language. But I can't even begin to work out how to pronounce "!11!!"

Wallybee talked to her parents in Shanghai last night, and told them about me. She's not ashamed of me! Huzzah!

In a flat in Melbourne eating too much food / Well, there lived a Canberra boy name of Wally B. Goode / And he never learned to play the guitar so well / But he could read an' write just like ringin' a bell

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Wallybee talked to her parents in Shanghai yesterday and told them about me. Anyone would think she likes me!

You're jazzed, just a little, huh?

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

It's utterly adorable. Unless using that word for billytea is some sort of Pete-related copywright infringement, in which case it's just heart-melty.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Smitten billytea is pretty adorable.

I'm contemplating learning Mandarin
Mom decided to do this when she planned a trip to China (where she actually is right now). Gave herself three weeks to learn. I admire her optomism.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Cass!! I have a question for you. You like Indy Car, right?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I'm contemplating calling in sick on Thurs-Friday next week so they can't fire me in March, and then my benefits would extend for the whole month of April without Cobra payments.

The only problem is that they have to process the term ahead of time, so it could lead to me showing up on Monday and being told I was fired on Friday but I just didn't know it.

Usually I'm not into stunts and would rather maintain my dignity, but it is worth a couple hundred dollars. And they are being skeezy.

Trust my rage

Well, worst case is that you got two days off and didn't yet know about the firing, right? I mean, those are two days you get to use sick leave and not work.

eta: also, it sucks so much that you have this hanging over you. I'm so sorry.

Yes! And I managed to get cable before the season opener even! Um, upon reflection, I might be a little *too* into racing.

Can they do that? I mean, they've sort of got to inform you, I would think.

I don't think they can do that. I say call in sick.
