The only problem is that they have to process the term ahead of time, so it could lead to me showing up on Monday and being told I was fired on Friday but I just didn't know it.
I don't think they can do that. I say call in sick.
'Serenity'
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Um, upon reflection, I might be a little *too* into racing.
The sky MIGHT be blue on sunny days!
George W. Bush just MIGHT be a doofus!
Do it, Hec. Like Steph says, worst case scenario they're on the hook for a couple of more days of sick time.

In the continuing events on the Life of the Pathetically Tired, I apparently have a boy. A boy who likes me. A very, very cute and endearing boy that is ridiculously charming and will likely be impossible to say no to.
I want to say "why me?" but I am so terribly flattered that I can't seem to do anything other than vacillate between "so cute!" and "I am so wrong for you!"
You're jazzed, just a little, huh?
Hee. Maybe a little.
You know, I loved Bec dearly, but (and this is no doubt partly a product of age) this relationship feels healthier. (So far, anyway.) Early days yet, but I have a good feeling about this.

Trudy! Guess what my baby animals calendar is showing! BABY OPOSSUM!! SOOOO CUUUTE!!!
Mom decided to do this when she planned a trip to China (where she actually is right now). Gave herself three weeks to learn. I admire her optomism.
Hee. I'd always thought that if I learned another language it'd be French (which I like, and I once spoke it well enough to get around Paris without offending the locals). Then, when I went to Egypt, I really enjoyed Arabic. But, y'know, priorities change.

Aww. It's a new trend! Significant others are in this spring!
Aww. It's a new trend! Significant others are in this spring! Not scarves? I thought it would be scarves. Damn. Now I have to go shopping.
Cass!! I have a question for you. You like Indy Car, right?
Yes! And I managed to get cable before the season opener even! Um, upon reflection, I might be a little *too* into racing.
I thought so. I need your address. My company is moving and people are clearing out offices. Indy is a client and I am now in possession of some of their swag (2 shirts and a visor) that I saved for you.

Another plus is that evil LA!Boss will be flying up to do the sacking, so I can avoid her being in the room when it happens. Or, she'd have to fly back up again on Monday. Heh. Kind of like the idea of letting her dangle as I call in each day. "::cough:: I'm not going to be in today, but I'll be in tomorrow for sure. We should definitely reschedule that meeting with [evil LA!Boss] then."
Next day: "::cough:: Still not well. So sorry. Definitely in tomorrow."
