Re: the parking tickets - I'll probably just end up paying them. If I send a letter, they'll likely just respond with "we don't agree with you, now pay us" and disputing it in person is almost laughable. Handling it over the phone would be such a blessing, I only wish I had that option. Feh.

I can't even find the words to describe this -- instructions on setting up an illegal abortion clinic in cases where hiring a doctor is impossible (just in case South Dakota needs it). The comments are equally powerful.

I can't make up my mind how I feel about it. I feel very strongly about abortion rights (especially since the South Dakota law makes to exceptions for pregnancies resulting from rape), but abortion is still surgery. Surgery should be done by doctors. The thought of someone performing an abortion based on a procedure they read in a blog is frankly terrifying. I suppose it's better than performing an abortion with no guidelines at all, but there is no way for anyone who hasn't been to medical school to know how safe or accurate the information she's presenting is. -- she admits right off the bat that she's just repeating shit she's read. I just don't know. I hope that it's good medical information, and I hope nobody ever has to use it.

It is how they used to be performed. Which is why so many women died from botched abortions. Which is probbably the srongest reason for makeing abortion legal and available. they will happen anyway. they have exsisted for a long time. they will continue.

Nicole - writing a letter regarding the tickets is most likely to be responded to with a "well ok" than a "no". That is how I've had my last two non-delinquent parking tickets dismissed.
