It is how they used to be performed. Which is why so many women died from botched abortions. Which is probbably the srongest reason for makeing abortion legal and available. they will happen anyway. they have exsisted for a long time. they will continue.
'Underneath'
Spike's Bitches 29: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Nicole - writing a letter regarding the tickets is most likely to be responded to with a "well ok" than a "no". That is how I've had my last two non-delinquent parking tickets dismissed.
and in news of my health... ( I know you were waiting for this)
I will be going to work today. However, after being at the coffee shop for a few hours , I decicded that the grocery store gets to wait.
Ok, cow-worker two cubes over has been on the phone for an hour. Non-business. I know too much about her life. I'm so glad the toilet flushes. SHUT UP!!!!
*deep breath*
So, how be everyone?
Going back a bit - Abortions have always been carried out. When they were illegal it was by amateurs, some with good intentions, some just out for money. It was dangerous - even if not fatal, women often ended up with infections that could have long-term effects. When abortions became legal, it was possible to go to a doctor and get professional care.
MG, let us know if you need an alibi.
It is how they used to be performed. Which is why so many women died from botched abortions.
I know.
My worry is that this kind of information -- guides to "safe" illegal abortions, performed by laymen -- will end up causing more harm than it prevents. I understand why it feels necessary to get this information out there, I just hope to god the original author knew what she was talking about. Performing surgery based on a guide you read online...scary, scary stuff.
and for a long time - ending pregnancies before the quicking was an accepted practice. It was around the civil war/industrialization/ suffregette movement that abortion became unlawful. ( I'd have to go find my books for a more exact time)
I work in a law library, Epic, that is open to the public. All the delusional people come to us with questions.
Fun! In a roll your eyes forever kinda way.
Seeing as it is tax time, we've had a run of people trying to figure out how to make themselves over into churches, and the seasonal tax protesters.
Y'know, you don't really have to pay taxes. It's illegal and they can't make you. I read it on that there internet, so it's gotta be true.
Geez, MG, in at 5am and subjected to that? I wish I could teleport you chocolate-chip cookies. You've clearly earned them.
... I hope that it's good medical information, and I hope nobody ever has to use it.
Well, its better for people to have a clue before they show up with an appointment with an underground "real" doctor.
