Book: I believe I just... I think I'm on the wrong ship. Inara: Maybe. Or maybe you're exactly where you ought to be.

'Serenity'

Spike's Bitches 29: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

If you even suspect that you've paid it, Nicole, call them and try to convince them of that.

The bitch about coming in to work at 5am, is that after working 4.5 hours, it is now only 9:30. While my day is over half done, lunch time is eons from now and y'all have made me hungry.

Thankfully (or not) the snack machine of calories and preservatives is empty.

I'm getting the pig!

I tried that, Sean. Denver won't handle any of it over the phone. All disputes have to be made in person or typed up and sent to a PO Box.

Thankfully (or not) the snack machine of calories and preservatives is empty.

I hear ya. I'm never sure whether to be happy or not when the vending machine runs out of those little chocolate donuts, MG. They're like CRACK!

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Nicole, you can dispute the tickets. The chances of the police officer showing up to prove the parking violation are slim to none. (Or you might be able to do it over the phone, which would be even better, since I'd honestly rather just pay the $30 than waste a day going to court over it.)

Nicole - find out if your state DMV requires tickets to be paid to renew your regitration as we do in California. If so, then use that in your letter.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I should learn not to underestimate how helpful a total breakdown can be. My therapist was good today, and I just total let go of all of the stuff that has been building up this month. Nothing got solved, but I feel a little better. I also finally called and made an appointment to make up my exam for tomorrow. Right now I am having a doughnut and a hot chocolate and watching Welcome to the Hellmouth.

sj, it sounds like a good release.

Lordy, please spare me any more public patrons who want the Anna Nicole Smith case explained to them. Especially the ones who believe they're entitled to some of the money. KTHXBYE!

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Ha! perhaps that is where I got the "cheery yellow" bit.

My brain didn't immediately go there, but it did immediately know what you were quoting.

No. That's exactly where my mind went too. Just the fact that Vortex described the construction equipment as being a cheery yellow made me smile wide.

Whew.

...

Interesting. Pride ourselves on our "uniqueness," but never want the answer to "is it just me?" to be "Yes." Hmmmmmm.

Thankfully (or not) the snack machine of calories and preservatives is empty.

Noooo! Or yay! Tricky.

Nothing got solved, but I feel a little better.

Glad that you at least feel a bit less weight on your shoulders.

Right now I am having a doughnut and a hot chocolate and watching Welcome to the Hellmouth.

Sounds like an excellent start.

Um, huh?

It's funny sometimes how much I'll fight a breakdown only to feel so damn relieved after I lose the battle. I hope you're feeling better today, girlie. {{{sj}}}

Re: the parking tickets - I'll probably just end up paying them. If I send a letter, they'll likely just respond with "we don't agree with you, now pay us" and disputing it in person is almost laughable. Handling it over the phone would be such a blessing, I only wish I had that option. Feh.

Oh goodie! Time for a 1 x 1 with my boss. The day just keeps getting better and better.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Bwahahahahaha! Heh. I'm sorry you're getting saddled with that, Sparky. Man, it's funny and depressing how many bone-stupid Americans there are.
