I saw it with a bunch of relatives who are in the publishing industry with me, and when she got to the "And then all I would have to do was be patient and wait... the two or three weeks it would take for everyone in the world to buy a copy of my best-seller" part we all fell out laughing hysterically.
Buffista Movies 5: Development Hell
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
me too. not a bad movie, but nothing special. And I just don't find Renee sexy...they keep telling me to, but somehow...

Her gal pal, though -- she was aces!
Yeah, she was sassy. In an 'Everything is connected' moment, she was played by Sarah Paulson, the hologram in Serenity.
I thought it had lots of witty lines but I can't deal with sexual innuendo at all. It makes me think of Carry On films and "How's your uncle?" and Barbara Windsor in a shower cap, with one hand on her backside and the other to her mouth, and a family, suffering from barely repressed hostility towards each other, drinking milky tea together as they watch a cricket match on a grey, drizzly Sunday afternoon.
So, Breakfast Club was good. It was thisclose to being awesome, but the ending irritated me, but I think that's Hughes and I not really getting along. Also Judd Nelson looks sooo much older than the rest of them, which, IMO, makes a huge difference for the character
