I'm supposed to deliver you to the Master now. There's this whole deal where I get to be immortal. Are you cool with that?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Are male and female pandas equally disinterested in mating?

Pretend that work is sex, and you are not a panda.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I recommend most always pretending you're not a panda.

I see potential issues with the work sex thing, though.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Are male and female pandas equally disinterested in mating?

Yes, it seems that way:

Currently few males in the zoo population breed naturally. Many show little or no sexual interest in females, while others are very aggressive to females. Females, too, sometimes fail to mate. For instance, females periodically have a "silent heat" in which they go through physiological estrus but do not show any behavioral signs.

Yes, I am beginning to see that I have not thought things through clearly....

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Pretend that work is sex, and you are not a panda.

I'm imagining someone changing their computer's startup chime to "BOOM-whacka-whacka-whacka-BOOM-whacka-DOW-DOW!

I don't suppose anyone knows what aDNA is, by any chance? I know mtDNA, but this 'a' thing is a new one on me.

"The fact that we live at the bottom of a deep gravity well, on the surface of a gas covered planet going around a nuclear fireball 90 million miles away and think this to be normal is obviously some indication of how skewed our perspective tends to be."

Fascinating. [link]

Ancient/Archeological DNA. Think the mosquito in Jurassic Park.

Wikipedia on ancient DNA. Encyclopedia Britannica has nothing.
