Aimee -- she's is but she isn't approving of it, you know?
Now that I've reread, yeah. I get what she's saying. My comprehension has been shot to hell.

I expect that I may have to go to war to insist that I am a person.
If only we had defenses against those sorts of attackers. Grenades are easier.
Aimée, I knew a woman years ago in Alabama who had to share her parental rights with the sack of shit who had date-raped her AND been previously issued a restraining order after an arrest outside of her house. The lesson: stay the hell out of family courts in redneck states.
Fucking A.
That sound you just heard? Was my cousin exploding in rage and frustration in Sioux Falls. She's been working hard against this.
Geez, and here I thought that sound was the entire US leaping back in time to the early 20th century.
I do think it's likely that Roe v Wade will be reversed. And wondering how moderate Republicans plan to spin their voting for Alito.
Couldn't help but notice this:
The Planned Parenthood clinic in South Dakota has performed about 800 abortions a year.
If the state has already created such a hostile environment for abortions that there are only 800 performed a year, access for most women in the state has already been cut off.
They know that this will immediatly be appealed - they're counting on this. They're hoping it will end up in the Supreme Court. And then they'll be hoping that the Supreme Court will overturn Roe v. Wade. Most people think this is a long shot - there's still (probably) a 5-4 majority that supports R. v W.
eta: sorta x-posty.
I think Alito was FOS. I think that he spewed a bunch of crap and BS to get confirmed, and the instant the opportunity to overturn RvW comes up, he'll chomp on it.

Exactly. It's not so much a law to ban abortion as it's a law to jumpstart a chain of events ending at the Supreme Court.
I don't know which makes me more sick to my stomach.
