Mine is so stupid, I'm about half-way through since my last post.
THERE. I feel exellent about spending a half-hour on these stupid things. They're part of the class that goes with writing my thesis -- there should not be other assignments!!
I am so over having phishing explained to me...but I'm assuming that not everyone knows, and it does need to keep being said.

No, that's phishing. I think a lot of people fall for time-worn scams because they just aren't thinking of the right thing at the right moment.
The object is to introduce subtle curvature into the walls. If done subtly enough, the result is that a person in the room would have a vague sense that something is not right, without being able to tell what is actually wrong.
tommyrot just want's everyone to feel like something is wrong with their eyes. You could paint stripes that vary just enough to imply curves where there aren't any.
There is a theatre in Evanston in which the back wall is not parallel to the proscenium line. I work there rarely enough that each time it takes me about an hour to realize what is wrong.
