The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

The secret ingredient in my brunch casserole is cream of celery soup, but I don't think I got the recipe from the label.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

My dad was very judgmental about steak sauce on steak.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

So was my grandfather. And ketchup on potatoes that weren't french fries.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I actually can't think of anything my parents are judgemental about, food-wise. In a general sense. I mean, my mother feels free to judge my father's slice of bread, but that's not about the bread.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

My father puts ketchup on macaroni and cheese. He lost all judgementalability by the time I was 5.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

My dad was very judgmental about steak sauce on steak.
My SiL (okay, the one I loathe right now but for totally different reasons) is still ashamed that she asked for steak sauce when having dinner with the family. She was in high school. Never let it be said we don't hold a beefy grudge.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My mother was a foodie. Now she's just lazy. But that's more to get other people to cook for her, rather than relaxing her judgmentality.

I have issues in strange places, thanks to her. And a low sodium tolerance.
