Happy Birthday, Lysana!
Good luck, Kalshane.
Ugh, ita -- job tension is seriously the last thing you need.
I am semi-prepared for the informational-interview-by-phone I'm about to have. I hate phone interviews!
I'd totally do your interview, Jesse. I oddly like them.
Why would this guy want his job back? I mean, aside from the difficulty he's going to have getting employ anywhere else. Talk about a hostile work environment.
Why would this guy want his job back?
More to the point, why would the faculty association, whose members he trashed, want to help him keep it?
So, that was slightly weird. I don't know how to do informational interviews, I think. Anyway, I made the contact, so that can't hurt.

Academia is a funny place. I wonder if the faculty association is/was trying to keep him in that job in order to discourage termination for cause, which would erode rights of tenure? It can be a slippery slope (from their point of view) t /simplistic
Note: I am not a member of the professorate, I merely study it in school.
Nilly, backflung.
Happy Birthday, Lysana!
Ugh, I spent all day yesterday thinking it was Friday. Same thing today. This is NOT. GOOD.
Timelies. Surprisingly no gronklies, but my internal calendar is on the fritz apparently.

Yeah, I suspect that's it, but in this case, protecting the right of one of their members to sabotage their other members seems silly.
