The problem with crockpots: patience. I just fired it up. Expect results in oh, 12 hours. But I keep checking it.
Remark to self: either crockpot or don't. Overnight crockpots will lead to multiple wakeups, I suspect.

For the record: beef, fingerling tatos, apple, carrots, garlic and shallots. Plus bay leaves, pepper and salt.
I can't overnight crockpot. The smell is too distracting. I have to do it when I'm not home, even.

That sounds yum. I wonder if I'd use a crockpot? The idea of setting it up in the midst of my morning routine (you know, when I have a routine) seems like I'd never actually do it.
I'm about to experience overnight crockpot. In the past, it's always been a daytime weekend thing.
Usually, it's a weekend day when I'm out a lot. Bit this one is a LONG one (10 hrs) so...nsm. Chicken and peppers is a few hours before it is ready.
OTOH, I bought too much stuff (beef, carrots, potatoes, mushrooms) so I'll probably have to do a repeat AT WORK soon. But I'll have to go more shallot and garlic first.
And as of right now.. not even steam!
I with ita - overnight crockpot in unrelaxy. But it's nice to have going during the day, especially if you go out and come home to bubbly goodness.
My impatience has to tell you.. fingerling taters done in the micro are sublime. Tasty little suckers.
I'm with brenda and ita, but this is an Experiment!!!
It started snowing here about half an hour ago. I know because I was leaving a friend's house, and got to drive home with the first flakes swirling in my head lights. Very pretty. Not sticking yet.

Not that I've used mine in forever, but I'd often assemble as much of the ingredients in the pot as possible at night and leave it in the fridge. Then I'd pour on the liquids, or whatever, and turn it on on my way out in the morning.
