Google's honoring the Olympics today--nice graphics. I'll tune into the beginning of the opening ceremonies, but at 9:00, the channel gets switched to BSG.

Does anyone know if there is a website that has the entire TV schedule for the Olympic coverage in one spot? I want to figure out when my favorite sports, especially figure skating and downhill skiing, are being shown. I've loved both since the Innsbruck Games in 1976--Dorothy Hamill and Franz Klammer both ruled those games.

It was. But there's a construction company or big contractor or something that has the property behind our row and they had a little plow they used to dig out the alley and he came and helped us out.

This is so true. I grew up in MN and will never get used to the unending heat and humidity of the South.

In light of all the zillow.com house valuations we've been doing this week, this article (Chicago Tribune reg req'd) takes the cake:

The unfair part of east-coast (I mean, less than 30 miles from the coast) snow is that it's all nor'easters, which is pretty tiresome both in the psychological sense and in the walking-into-a-stiff-wind sense.

They're basically low-grade hurricanes, except it's just not sexy to show pine trees flailing in the wind.

All that said, everybody north of, like, Bergen County knows how to handle snow, even lots and lots of it, and because the east coast has very good public transit, getting around is not nearly the issue it would be if somebody dumped 2 feet on Los Angeles.

I mean, aside from the part where Angelenos would think the world was ending (or that Angel was committing suicide).
