That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Oh, ita, I take it painkillers are not helping?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I take it painkillers are not helping?

They are painkillers. The irony is not lost. It's to get worse before it gets better.

Ugh. That just plain sucks. No other way around that.

Our wings are not tired.

Wow, that Zillow place is cool. It also makes me think I should sell the house.

Poor msbelle. What they said about it being better after drying.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oy, ita. Here's to the getting-better part, anyway.

Good lord, David. That does sound like the kind of thing that would be preceded with several emails.

I am now cranky, due to owing money to the state and city, because none of my employers took out enough! I had like a buck fifty in income last year. Bah.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Re: the undercover cat: Any NYers know more about this? How did the dog get injured? Did it really swallow a foreign object?

Completely random factoid. In fact, even more random than usual:

Due to mass being converted into energy as a result of nuclear fusion, "the Sun loses around 4,200,000,000 kilograms every second!"

Due to this loss of mass, every hundred years the earth moves one meter further from the sun. But not all at once.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

That is both awesome and terrifying.

Isn't it, though? We have difficulty comprehending the mass of, say, a mountain. The mass of the sun is so beyond our comprehension (except in the abstract, number-in-scientific-notation sense).

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

So today President Bush offered more details on a thwarted 9/11-type attack against Los Angeles' tallest building.

Mayor Villaraigosa's response was "Umm, helloWTF???"
