I think the big danger here is setting a precedent for the ability of the executive to ignore laws during a self-declared war on a noun. When does the war end? Can a future president ignore the rule of law because there is a war on drugs, or war on half-animal hybrids?

Fred Pete is right. Miami and Ecuador are in the same time zone. It's about a 4 hour flight to Guayquil, and then a half hour flight to the Galapagos.

Going back to Project Runway, I agree with Sumi and Aimee, though I do think the guest judge who loved the jumpsuit against all reason probably made the difference as well.

There've been how many moments in this administration where you thought "my god, they've finally gone and crossed that line and even their supporters will have to acknowledge how out of control they are"? I'm no longer certain that day will come, no matter what they do.

Never underestimate the self-interest of the powerful. I don't think it has anything to do with "OMG you've gone too far!!" -- I think it's all about turf, and turf is a really powerful thing in DC.
