See, Jesse, your pants story ends happily after all. Even if it does mean ordering online.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

These, from Banana Republic. And they're a size smaller than I usually wear, a total vanity bonus.

Edit: It's true, Kat. I'm really going to have to get over the immediate-gratification thing and do this more often.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Online ordering has the "I ordered what??? Yay!!!" factor.

Just finished the first team portion of the training course. I am a situational control freak, it appears. And training teams are certainly a subset of these situations. In fact, things will go better if I take all the roles. Why in dog's name did I pick the role with the least control? I took it anyway, but still.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

So. I had a bad day to shift the balance in my world to defcon 3.

I went to the eye doctor. After all the tests, he said, "you need to wear glasses ALL THE TIME."

I am apparently both nearsighted, farsighted, and my eyes do not focus. I didn't really understand. But i had to get progressive bifocals, and i have no insurance for prescription glasses, so I was out $400.00

I got Coach glasses, they're cat eye, burgundy, and they were on sale for $119.00.

The rest was all prescription and anti-glare shit.

Then I realized i had np cash to get out of the parking garage, went to the ATM, and had insufficient funds for a $20.00 withdrawal, due to EXTREME financial irresponsibility.

Fortunately, my dad just said he'd pay for the glasses, and will send me a check, and Maya owed me 350 bucks for Suz Brockmann reg fees, so I'm going to deposit that check, now.

Lord.

If I only had a brain...

I'm sorry, Allyson. Glasses SUCK.

I am apparently both nearsighted, farsighted, and my eyes do not focus.

I have some of that stuff. My binocular system is screwed up: my eyes don't work well together. If you have that too, that could explain the nearsighted and farsighted: if one eye focuses long and the other short and they aren't playing nicely together, that's how you get all those very expensive diagnoses at once.

I feel your pain. Once I add up my progressives, prism correction, glare correction, yacht money for my doctor, I'm well over $300 per prescription. Not counting frames.

Allyson, most everyone fucks their finances, at least once. Many fewer get publishers trying to buy their books.

For what it's worth.

Why are people whining about whose fault stuff was? It's just a class, and these scores go nowhere. We were supposed to be done at 5 and they're yammering. Moderator!

Our wings are not tired.

Yay Dad! Wearing glasses can be fashion fun, but not at $400 a pop. Are contacts not an option? I do the one eye near and the other far contact thing.
