Congratulations, Allyson!
I'm glad you're feeling a little better, ita.
I have a haircut scheduled for today. At the moment, it looks like that might be the only thing I get accomplished, which is a little annoying. (I'm waiting on stuff from other people.)
An international team of scientists says it has found a "lost world" in the Indonesian jungle that is home to dozens of new animal and plant species.
That's really cool.
But NOT AS COOL AS ALLYSON!!!! YAYAY!
Glad this morning is better than last night, ita. msbelle, maybe you work on that, too.
I'm watching last night's TDS and Colbert, and kept thinking I had seen TDS before, but not being sure of it. Sure enough, yeah -- it was a repeat, because Jon Stewart and his wife had a baby! Fun.

Another one? Didn't they just have one in the past year?
Apparently -- it's definitely a new Colbert.
Brokeback Mountain star Jake Gyllenhaal is being touted as Gotham City district attorney Harvey Dent in the next Batman sequel, along with Paul Bettany, who may play the Joker. Gyllenhaal would play Gotham City's good-guy lawyer, who mutates into his alter-ego, Two-Face, in the third film. In the sequel, Batman would team with Harvey Dent to destroy the Joker, according to moviehole.net. Tommy Lee Jones formerly played Dent/Two-Face on the big screen in Batman & Robin. Star Christian Bale is set to return, as well as Michael Caine as butler Alfred.
I am curious about Bettany as Joker. I think he might be able to do it.
I swear Jon just had a wee one. But I've been TDS slacking, so who knows?
Yay Allyson on the book deal!
I've discovered a flaw in my go to bed at a reasonable hour plan (which translates to before midnight, hopefully at 11): I wake up for the first time at 5:30 and then sleep restlessly for another hour or so, then finally give up crankily when my alarm goes off. My real problem isn't getting enough sleep. It's that damned waking up part.
I'm pretty sure Jon had a son over a year ago and this is a new baby. Someone mentioned it on the show a while back.

Well aren't the Stewarts bundles of fertility! Go team repopulating the world with snark.
Watching 24, the correct comment on the guest star is Sydney! And I don't mean Alias. I mean The Pretender.
Well good for them. And Jon was especially funny when he was all cranky and sleep deprived.
