ion, my cat has found a mouse. He did his usual catch-and-release, catch-and-release, etc. Currently the mousie is in a released state. Hopefully the mouse won't die in some inaccessible spot....
Puppy bowl: don't you just know all the other puppies are thinking, "get this curly haired spaz AWAY from me now", about the minature poodle.
I stopped at TJ's and was astonished to find it packed; guess I misunderestimated the number of East Bayers who don't watch football.
However, scotch and beer and sushi are achieved. And then I went to Best Buy and bought a new dvd player and Serenity.
How pathetic is this: I got a new dvd player because my old Sampo has been refusing to play all my vid sets. Professional dvds mostly play okay, but not the Vividcon dvds, so. $70 later, I am in possession of a Philips dvd player, which is happily playing VVC disk 1. Yay!
I saw that Macgyver ad on the Internet. I miss Jack O'Neill.
And yet, I still work in electric all the time. And I still go up the ladder or up the scaffold all the time, despite how queasy I get. I never sweat half as much from physical labor as I do from working up in the grid in some precarious position.
Ah, but see... this tells me that you are actually doing the work. I'm talking about the folks who get to the top of the ladder and say, "I can't do this." Then I end up doing the job I've hired them for while they sort gel.
I recently started watching SG-1 season 1 on DVD. Fun stuff. I'm surprised by how many episodes I'd missed. They sent disc 3 before disc 2 so I'm slightly out of order.

Puppy Bowl: That's a Standard Poodle puppy -- they're the big ones that haven't been ruined by overbreeding. When you meet them, you realize why poodles were originally sporting dogs. Don't let the silly haircut fool you....

My kids' circadian rhythms are all off today. Franny woke at 9 am, lunch was at 2 pm, no nap, dinner at (looks at clock) 7. Zoinks. As for Isaac, he took two naps, but he went down like a brick at 6 pm.
